Sunkye's High Temperature Connectors: Engineered for Extreme Environments
Sunkye's high-temperature connectors are designed to perform reliably in extremely high-temperature environments, ensuring high performance even under demanding conditions.

Understanding ODS Alloys
Oxide Dispersion Strengthened (ODS) alloys are increasingly prominent due to their applications in high-temperature environments. These alloys typically feature a metal matrix—such as iron aluminide, iron chromium, iron-chromium-aluminum, nickel chromium, or nickel aluminide—with small oxide particles (5-50 nm) of alumina (Al2O3) or yttria (Y2O3) dispersed within the matrix.
ODS alloys, both iron-based and nickel-based, are known for their excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. Their superior creep resistance is due to the dispersion of oxide and other particles, along with a large, elongated grain structure.
Recently, a materials science research team at Tianjin University in China developed an ODS aluminum alloy model that can withstand temperatures up to 500°C while maintaining super tensile strength (200 MPa). This breakthrough holds significant implications for aerospace and transportation industries.
Implications for Connector Technology
High-temperature and high-pressure applications pose substantial challenges, particularly for small components like connectors. Ensuring performance in extreme environments requires that every part of the connector—metal shell, glue, insulator, contacts, etc.—meets high standards. At temperatures reaching 200°C, 300°C, or higher, the entire system must be resilient.
Sunkye's HTHP Series connectors are designed for such extreme conditions and are widely used in industries like oil and gas and new energy. These connectors feature high-temperature alloy shells capable of withstanding up to 200°C and 175 MPa, ensuring high performance in demanding environments.
