The RJ45 connector is a type of information socket (i.e., communication outlet) connector in a wiring system. The connector consists of a plug (a connector and a crystal head) and a socket (module). RJ is the abbreviation for Registered Jack. In the FCC(standards and regulations of Federal Communications Commission), RJ describes the interface of public telecommunications networks, and the RJ45 connector for computer networks is the common name for the standard 8-bit modular interface.

The crosstalk is an important factor to be considered in the design among these performance requirements. If the crosstalk introduced by a modular plug is represented by "++++", the opposite crosstalk produced by the socket is represented by "----". When the magnitude of two crosstalk signals is equal and the polarity is opposite, the total coupled crosstalk interference signal is zero.
