Sunkye’s Twist Pin Contact was designed to enable more customized requirements of medical devices.

Cancer is a disease that affects people of all ages, cancer cuts through society, causing suffering on a global scale. Traditionally, a cancer surgery should cut in and open up the body. The patient has surgery at great risk. But following the technological advances made it possible for surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgeries using tiny cameras and miniature surgical tools inserted through small incisions since 1980. However, in 2000 the world's first robotic surgical system that can be officially used in the operating room was launched. Doctors sometimes prefer robotic surgery to help remove hard-to-reach tumors, shorten surgery times or lessen side effects for patients compared to traditional surgery.
Robotic surgery doesn’t mean that just a robot is performing the operation alone. Instead, it refers to when surgeons direct the surgery using robotic tools. The surgeon sits at a screen that provides 3-dimensional views of the tumor, then they control the robot arms to perform the surgery.
Safety is the first priority of robotic surgery, to make sure the robotic works well, the internal connection of surgery robotics requires safety, high performance, and flexibility. Connectors play an important role in the operation of robots, Medical industry is a special area, device engineer have their own mind to connectors, electrical connector manufacturers also work hard on customized filed to help medical device engineer to make the ideas work.
Sunkye’s Twisted Pin Contact was designed with high preference, which meet MIL-DTL-83513 or MIL-DTL-32139 can satisfy a lot of medical customized requirements. Qualified contacts can make the signal transportation fast, accurate, safe, help doctor remove the lesion easier.
