Sunkye’s Glass-Sintered Sealing Connectors with excellent glass-to-metal hermetic performance are designed for extreme conditions.

No matter what type of electronic connectors, it is impossible always going to be used in applications with a stable environment. Rain, ice, snow, and dust present in such conditions must be kept out of the connector to ensure reliable operation. Many applications subject connectors to very high pressures and high temperatures while requiring them to maintain functionality and performance for extended periods.

High temperatures can result in many situations, such as an increase in plastic strain over time. This is a particular concern in the high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) environment of oil & gas wells. These types of situations bring up glass sealing connector solutions which provide additional protection in environments with extreme pressures and temperatures.

A hermetic connector blocks all gases from passing through points of connection and protects the electric signal from external elements. While hermetic connectors represent a minor part of a system, they're essential to ensure critical equipment reliability in harsh and extreme environments.

Sunkye's Glass-Sintered Sealing Connectors are sintered by glass powder which can shape perfectly and make the insulator without any gaps between the shell and the insulator. Glass powder properties stem from the identity of the glass itself, as well as particle size and morphology. Depending on the composition, specialty glass powders can meet highly versatile requirements.
