Production Technology of Connector

Connector production is divided into four steps: stamping, electroplating, injection molding, assembly.

Stamping: through the large-scale high-speed stamping machine, the thin metal belt is punched into connector pins, one end of the large volume of metal belt is fed into the front end of the stamping machine, the other end passes through the hydraulic workbench of the stamping machine and is wound into the winding pulley, which pulls out the metal belt and rolls the finished product. Stamping, through the large-scale high-speed stamping machine, the thin metal belt is punched into military connector pins, one end of the large volume of metal belt is fed into the front end of the stamping machine, the other end passes through the hydraulic workbench of the stamping machine and is wound into the winding pulley, which pulls out the metal belt and rolls the finished product.

Plating: after the connector pins are stamped, they should be sent to the plating. At this stage, the electronic contact surface of electrical power connectors will be coated with various metal coatings.

Injection molding: the plastic box seat of the connector is made in the injection molding stage. The usual process is to inject the melted plastic into the metal mold, and then cool it quickly.

Assembly: the final stage of connector manufacturing is finished product assembly. There are two ways to connect the electroplated pins and the injection box seat, one is single or combination. Single docking refers to inserting one pin at a time; combined docking refers to inserting multiple pins with the box seat at the same time. No matter which plug-in method is adopted, the connector manufacturer requires checking whether all pins are missing and positioned correctly in the assembly stage.

With the development of connector in China in recent years, electrical connector manufacturers are also moving forward from the original low-end market to the high-end market. At present, the connector market in China is in the transition period from production to creation. With the introduction of electric vehicles and driverless vehicles into the market, looking into the future, the connector industry is in good shape.
